Not a particularly pretty and definitely not clean beach, but for shell hunting we found the motherload!! Everywhere!! We also only saw a handful of people during the day and we did camp overnight and saw NO ONE! That was nice. It was quiet and peaceful.
Better off going down bolivar so you can actually access the beach without large obstructions in the water. The cross in the water is a main attraction.
Five stars only because of the fishing and not a lot of people right on top of you. If you are needing access to stores for anything, they're not around here.
Stopped here because I'm just getting into surf fishing and I've always seen people here fishing.
My son and Stopped here in early August and came back mid September.
Gafftopsail's are FREAKING PLENTIFUL!!!!
we did manage to get some nice bull reds, what we came for
Good beach, but if you drive too far off the entry area, I would suggest a 4x4 car.
We did it in our rear wheel drive van with no issue, but it felt a little sketchy at times. Also, cars around seemed a little strange as well. Keep up your guard more at this beach for overnight camping or just park in the front area on the pavment if you can find parking
