My family and I fish there a lot. Good fishin! Only drawback, not very clean. Lots of litter. Seems like the Parks division could do a better job of cleaning area, if they do at all. We enjoy it anyway.

This is a great place where I have been many times. Fishing gives me pleasure, there is also a webcam directed from a fishing store, I watch it sometimes on the site tripletcam. com

I was born and raised in Houston. This was a place that I grew to love and look forward to coming to for 60 years. I’m an over the road truck driver and had not had time to go to Roll Over since about 5or 6 years ago. I met a wonderful man from Wisconsin and we got married in 2019. I told him so many times how great the fishing is at Roll Over Pass and couldn’t wait to take him there. We moved to Needville 3 years ago and finally decided to take some time off. I was so excited to finally be able to share with him one of my favorite places in the country.A place that hold so many memories for me. Memories of having a great time with my father, aunt, sister , cousins ( who are all deceased now) memories of my children and their excitement whenever we pulled a Red, Drum, Spec, Sand Trout ,even a Hard Head out of the water. My husband and I could hardly wait to get there from the Ferry…And when we arrived… only to see Roll Over filled with sand…My heart sank, and the lump that formed in my throat soon turned to tears. Great Job to Whomever made the decision to erase this place..to not consider the businesses in the area, the people that came from all over the world to fish Roll Over. “Great Job”
