Incredibly nice workers, and very clean bathrooms! The only thing we had trouble with was our 35' camper getting in and out of our spot we were assigned to. But a worker stopped by to see if he could help, and Barry stopped by often throughout the week to see if we needed anything. I hope we can come back in the future!
This week my Memere and I stayed at the campground and had an amazing time! At first I was a little nervous because my grandmother resides in a wheelchair and was concerned about accessibility. Luckily the management staff was very helpful, kind, and welcoming to anything we needed. This trip meant a lot to me because I rarely get time off of work to come up to Maine and I’m just so happy that we chose this campground. Will defiantly be coming back soon, thank you! :)
This was my fourth year at Family and Friends. In previous years it was great and I loved it, however, this year it went downhill. New owners and they hired a manager and her father to take care of the campground. They did not know what they were doing. The pool was closed several times, due to the fact, they could not get the water up to standard, the hot tub was never opened, dogs were allowed to go unleashed, quiet time was not observed and the most disturbing fact was the water. At times there was no water, at other times extremely low water pressure, when asked about it they would not give a reason as to why. It was so full of iron that it discolored my new toilet and sink, and then the Health Department issued a boil water order as it was not fit to drink. The security exit gate was broken so anyone could enter at anytime, which they did on a regular basis. I am not against marijuana, but there were days that was all you could smell, not a good environment for children.
I would not recommend Family & Friends to anyone it was a big disappointment this year and extremely expensive. A lot of the reviews posted are from last year and the previous owner who sold the campground. Needless to say, I will find another campground next year.
