This worked out very well for a last minute running camp for high school students.

We brought a lot of stuff with us because we were not sure what there would be to do, but there was so much to do, we never even opened the box of games we brought.

Wendy was great about answering questions during the planning process and once we arrived.

It was suitable for families with children, but it would also be a great place to come as a couple for a quiet weekend. The nearby dam and river walk to down town were amazing. As far as groups go, the dining area in the main house (including serving and cooking dishes) easily accommodated our group of 18. We also comfortably had worship in the living room as a group. (However, note that the house only sleeps 12, so part of our group stayed elsewhere.)

This is definitely where I'll stay again when we head back to Glen Rose as a family.

My friend and I and our sons had a great time staying at the Country Woods Inn! The South wing of the Prairie House was perfect for the 4 of us and our boys loved how close we were to the river where they could swim and slide down into the water. We enjoyed a nice fire in the fire pit and had smores one night. The hammock was a great addition for the boys and they spent lots of time there. The petting zoo area was fun with all the bunnies and Wendy cooked a delicious breakfast on Saturday morning! We were about 5 minutes from everything we wanted to do! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place for the kids, but also close to town and swimming. Wendy even found our stuffed animal we left behind right after we left and immediately let us know, so we could go back and get it. Top notch service!

We traveled from Houston to Glen Rose on the backroads. It seemed to have set the mood for the entire journey. Turning in to a neighborhood we found ourselves driving beside a wonderful riverwalk to the left. We came to a dead end with a gate and entered the code and entered a beautiful open farm. The cabins were well marked and we found ours without effort. I can't recall if we really unloaded much before we started exploring the cabin,...the area around the cabin and the farmyard. If you love animals you'll be in heaven,...just bring plenty of carrots and you'll be amazed at the friends you make! The campfires are all enclosed and like the cabins, mesmerizing to say the least. Once we got unpacked and settled in we continued to familiarize ourselves wit the environment. I know its an odd description but allow me to explain. We were in Glen Rose, a small town,..and yet in the country. We were within a very short distance to a river crossing, a boulder field, and a riverwalk, and at the same time secluded. I feel that anything more would give it away, and even the review seems to betray the secret of what an amazing place experience it was to be there. Wendy was an amazing host and be warned,..we will be back! We are still spellbound.

What an experience! My son had been asking to go camping but we aren’t ones to do real camping. This was the perfect compromise! The RVs have all the amenities you need to stay comfortable but also keep like you’re camping. The Inn itself is amazing. The petting zoo is always available. Bring carrots as you can feed the animals limited feed but as many carrots as you want. Roaming around the farm was peaceful and beautiful. The Saturday morning breakfast offered a great variety of cold and hot foods. I really appreciated how incredibly friendly and accessible Wendy was. You could text her a question and within a few seconds she’s already responding. It was a pleasure meeting her on site and conversing with her. The RV itself was what I was expecting per the listing. It was my first time in an RV and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend going with or Without children. It’s a guaranteed amazing

Time with whomever go with. Don’t pass this experience up :)

OM, this farm is amazing! Wendy is also amazing! We only stayed 1 night but it was Perfect! This place has a llama, a sheep, a goat, rabbits, chickens, ducks, horses, a donkey and a pig + you're in the country so we got the bonus benefit to see 10 deer¡ running from the woods and through the open fields! Wow, what an Excellent experience! I wished we could have stayed much longer.

The house we stayed at was perfectly clean and ready for us. 🌞 5☆
