We traveled from Houston to Glen Rose on the backroads. It seemed to have set the mood for the entire journey. Turning in to a neighborhood we found ourselves driving beside a wonderful riverwalk to the left. We came to a dead end with a gate and entered the code and entered a beautiful open farm. The cabins were well marked and we found ours without effort. I can't recall if we really unloaded much before we started exploring the cabin,...the area around the cabin and the farmyard. If you love animals you'll be in heaven,...just bring plenty of carrots and you'll be amazed at the friends you make! The campfires are all enclosed and like the cabins, mesmerizing to say the least. Once we got unpacked and settled in we continued to familiarize ourselves wit the environment. I know its an odd description but allow me to explain. We were in Glen Rose, a small town,..and yet in the country. We were within a very short distance to a river crossing, a boulder field, and a riverwalk, and at the same time secluded. I feel that anything more would give it away, and even the review seems to betray the secret of what an amazing place experience it was to be there. Wendy was an amazing host and be warned,..we will be back! We are still spellbound.
