We only spent 1 night at the Lamesa city RV Park. Donations only, first come first serve! There are 8 sites with dual pedestals of 1 50 amp and 1 30 amp with water. Sewer appears to be a dump station at the east end. Any rig over 25 feet will have a slight leveling issue. Electric and water worked as expected. Picnic tables and grills are supplied at the rear of the site. There is a very large playground across the parking lot and a frisbee golf course with in the park. Approximately 1,000 feet to the East are public bathrooms, no showers. Caution: There was a never ending stream of vehicles speeding within the park.
Constant SPEEDING vehicles at all hours of the day and night!! Unsafe situation to have constant racing vehicles just steps between RV sites and playground!! Not only is the traffic noise louder than sleeping on the interstate, this place is an accident waiting to happen. Besides the safety issues, all but a couple of the RV sites are on a steep incline making this NOT big rig friendly. The dump is also at an incline. Would not stay here again and do NOT recommend!!
Electricity and water. Sites are not leveled but they are free for four days. It is an excellent place for spending a night. Supermarket 3 minutes away, friendly people. Feels very safe
Thank you all very, very much!
We appreciate y'all letting us stay here for the night.
We're headed to another Texas town, but Lamesa RV Park Area was on our route to split up our drive. We can not say how grateful we are since we're on a very tight budget.
Very nice location (back in parking), picnic tables, trash cans, and a playground park for kids across the street to play in and a walking area as well.
We have a 50 AMP parking space, which wasn't listed on the website we found the park from. We were just going to plug into a 30 AMP (with an adapter) & only use one air conditioner. So that was an added bonus for us big time.
Lol, I heard some noise by our camper and went to check it out. The dump station is right in front. I'm not smelling a bad aroma. I just didn't know what was going on out front. No worries.... this park is for free. (For four nights), we're just staying the one.
Thank you all who made this place possible!
May God bless you all highly.
Good spot to stop for the night, although do NOT park anywhere else in the park except between the white lines (with elevated RV power hookups)… You will be asked to move by the friendly local police. The RV parking is at the far west end of the park, across from the colorful playground. Quiet at night, but noisy with work traffic first thing in the morning. The dump station, mentioned by other posts, is unmarked and over by the bathrooms (across from the basketball courts). It does NOT have a water spigot to clean out, or top off tanks.
