Prairie Creek is a great little gem out in the middle of rural Alabama. The water sites are so nice. There are courtesy piers for fishing and good ole laziness. The sites are set up very nice, but there isn't any sewer. There is plenty of room to get to the dump station. I enjoyed walking around and hiking through the woods. This is an excellent base for boating, fishing, and kayaking. The boat ramp is top not notch and there is plenty of room to park. The water views have been made very nice, due to the hard work of the awesome volunteers. Alot of the spaces are shaded really well and over all, I totally enjoyed my stay. The staff is awesome and they really keep everything up in the right way.

This was a great park, the camp host were super nice, we had campsite 50 with a beautiful view of the lake, very quite park not many sites taken. The bathhouse was clean the only thing in the ladies bathroom the soap dispenser was broken .

We would for sure stay here again on our way to Gulf Shores, we only stayed one night. There isn't much in the surrounding area to do.

Well maintained campground. Most sites are long, spacious with water views. Has 2 playgrounds, although they are kind of old and dingy but they seemed safe. Views of the Alabama river were awesome. Tons of wildlife viewing, with lots egrets and blue herons. Selma is a short drive away and had everything you could need. I loved how flat and spacious the campground was, it made for great bike riding. Beware if it's hunting season, there is a lot of hunting going on nearby and many people use the campground as a hunting camp. I had to shield my kids from watching a neighboring camper clean a deer. It is Alabama during hunting season. Only real con for me was there wasn't much to do there, no hiking trail. Verizon signal was great in the main peninsula part of the campground, the cove part of the campground didn't really get signal. They do have coin laundry facilities and bathrooms were nice.

Disappointed ! Felt like the whole campground was dirty but especially around the hosts area. They need to clean up!! Lots of trash everywhere and during hunting season the whole place was full of hunters. No families at all. The guys across from us killed a deer and just left the carcass laying under the trailer for days ! It was upsetting!
