Exit #158 from I-65 turn past Stuckey's, then first left on Venable Rd. Go 1 mile, RV Park on the left.
We pulled in after driving through pouring rain tired and stressed. We pulled in, past the stop sign, and after (jokingly) giving us a hard time about going past the stop sign, Cassie & Chuck couldn’t have been any nicer! We even received a route that will save us some time tomorrow. Very nice quiet campground. We will be back on our way through next year. Maybe even on our way back north next month. Great experience after yesterday’s camping fiasco!
I cannot say enough nice things about Montgomery South and their wonderful staff! This is a small town, family run, veteran owned, Good Sam park. We, a family of 3 traveling with our 2 dogs, popped a tire one exit away and they were super helpful getting us in a last minute spot big enough for our 43' rig. The gentleman that runs the park and his granddaughter are an absolute delight and they are super dog friendly. The park is very clean, with good wifi and a cute little store. It's a very quiet place right off I-65 and is a great resting spot for a night or a great out of the city spot to explore Montgomery. We will definitely stay here again. A+++! 10 out of 10.
Beautiful RV park! Great people that run it. I had sent an email asking if they had any open spots for one night and their reply came to my junk mail so I didn't see it and we were on the road traveling and they called me because they were getting ready to close up the office for the night and wanted to let me know they were leaving my reservation package for me outside. I was pleasantly surprised because not knowing I even had a reservation since I didn't see their email and I had not even put down a deposit or given them my credit card information. So at least we ended up with an RV campsite for the night. When we got there it was already dark. It was a little confusing trying to navigate the campground after dark, but we got to our campsite and set up for the night. Then we had a welcome visit from a large beautiful rabbit that came up to our campsite to munch on some grass. The owners stated they had domesticated pet rabbits when their kids were growing up and when they no longer wanted pet rabbits they turned them lose at the campground so over time they bred with the wild rabbits and now the campground has many rabbits that are crossbred with domestic rabbits so these rabbits are large and look like domestic pet rabbits and seem to be very friendly. The campground is very well maintained and beautiful. We got there late in the night and left the next morning after having a chat with the owners, who were great people. We would highly recommend this campground. It is conveniently located off the interstate so it makes it easy to find and access when traveling. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area.
We love staying here in our travel trailer. The owners always welcome us back again and again when on our way to the
Gulf Coast. It's a great place. Clean bath and shower room, completely private bathroom.
Montgomery South offers a great location for travel south. The staff are lovely people- friendly & welcoming. The grounds are extremely well maintained - gravel roads refreshed [so not muddy in wet weather], easy access in & out for big rigs, lighted site posts, lots of area for dog walking & dog stations. The restrooms are individual bathrooms - updated, clean & roomy.
This is a "go to" stop for us as "snow birds" heading south.
