Went by chance on our way back from an anniversary trip back in July. Fantastic staff, they were very accommodating & sweet. The place was beautiful & full of things to do. Enjoyed the cave tour & panhandling. Definitely recommend the big bucket if you love rocks & gems.

Such a great day trip in North Alabama. The caverns are stunning. The tours are guided and there are lots and lots of stairs so this isn’t for the weak or weary. If you can handle a haul, a climb and a couple tight squeezes this is just for you. They have a very nice gift shop with lots of great gemstones and rocks and books along with toys and snacks . There is a mining for gems trough which is always fun and also a swimming area. Bathrooms are typical park restrooms so not luxury but in line with other park facilities. It’s a great place to visit and if you’re near you must stop by if you have the chance.

We went to Wonderland Under Warrior that Rockwood Caverns has put on for many years, previously named Santa's Underground Workshop. They have done an incredible job organizing and decorating for people to go enjoy. I know that it took a lot of dedication and hard work for them to be able to do this each and every year.

My only complaint is that they need to do these as guided tours or only allow a few groups in at a time. While it was beautiful, we didn't have that good of a time and didn't get to enjoy things as we went along. There was way too many people crammed together where you can barely get through the very narrow passages... people was letting their very young kids do whatever they wanted like being extremely loud, being disrespectful, and climbing all over the place(which is dangerous). I almost stepped on some kids that was climbing around on the ground, a huge group was coming in so we everyone was hugged up to the wall, I had to step back so they could get through and almost stepped on them. They was also unsupervised climbing on a spot that they possibly could have died if they had of fell.... I don't blame the park for that because the parents/adults should be responsible enough to watch them closely if they're taking them to a place like that.

We more than likely won't be going back unfortunately unless they decide to make the tours guided or monitor/limit people coming in and out. When we paid we had to pay for a specific time slot, they should only allow a certain amount for each time slot if they do unguided tours.

Very cool place. Loved the caverns and nature trail. I didn’t even realize the caverns would be decorated for Christmas, but it was a nice surprise and very pretty! I also enjoyed that we could explore at our own pace (self guided tour). The outdoor area also had playgrounds for kids.

Pool is always clean & tons of fun! If u live in the area & plan to take the kids swimming a lot the season pass is a good deal at $75 for 1st person & $25 each additional person vs $7/person each visit…1 adult & 3-4kids per day is costly but the season pass pays for itself in no time.

The caves are amazing anytime of year & extra awesome during the Christmas season u definitely wanna swing by if ur in the area it’s breathtaking 😊
