Made a reservation for 1 night. We arrived around 7:30pm the office was closed so we were told on a phone conversation to pick up our receipt and go left and there would be "plenty" of spots to choose from. I asked for our site number and we were told just to pick one.. We drove around the corner to find only 1 spot left. We pulled in and was immediately met with a terrible smell. As we were just staying 1 night and heading out early we didn't want to hook up the water and sewer. We walked at least 5 minutes to get to the bathroom. The door on the women's bathroom was broke. There are 2 showers that barely had any water pressure and took forever to get warm. The bathroom was very dirty and there were no paper towels. The stall doors were like barn doors..1 didn't have a latch and the other barely closed. The sites are very close together with your neighbors sewer hookups right at your picnic table. We have camped here several times before but this experience was not acceptable. If I'm booking a site months in advance, I should have a specific site not just whatever is left. I will be looking for other campgrounds along my routes next time.
Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The owners are sweet & kind hearted people. This campground is for long term stay or short term. Wifi wasn't that great but all in all it is a beautiful place. Owners are very professional, kind, respectful, & compassionate people. I highly recommend it.

I stayed here once several years ago and it was adequate for a night's stay. It's easy in and out and that's about it. Sites are very close. I have called a few times during open hours through the years since then and have yet to get a answer or a returned call. The last time was about 2 weeks ago and still nothing. We stay at Desoto Park most of the time and will continue to.
