The new mountain bike trails at Joe Wheeler are well designed - fast, curvy, rolling hills, family friendly and scenic. About 9 miles total. The Sunday lunch buffet was great too!

Stayed here in the newly renovated campground section C.

Hiking good. Many wildlife. Golf course, The General looked healthy and well maintained. Also disc golf, beach area under renovation, boat rentals and cruises at the marina, marina, lodge and restaurant. We had a good time, All people we interacted with were friendly.

This is a beautiful park with fantastic cross country style mountain bike trails that are multi-use. The lake is beautiful. The golf course is a great value. The rangers are helpful. Most times I run or ride here I see more deer than people.

Campground and bike trails! I'm only reviewing the Campground and the bike trails because we haven't stayed at the lodge. The campground is very nice with a lot of spots having beautiful views of the water. Check the spot map because some spots have shade trees and some have no shade. Full hookups and everything seems to be maintained well. We love to ride the bike trails. Trails are pretty well maintained and are fairly easy enough for most riders. You will see deer if you come here. We see them every time and they are beautiful! It's overall just a beautiful park.
