It was a relaxing place allowing for us to have a great weekend. I started with 3 stars but I raised it to 4. The reason I didn’t give 5 is because one of the ladies working the desk had the nastiest attitude. First of all I wasn’t engaged in a conversation with her she was actually helping someone else. The issue came when I believe her name was Danielle pulled my information and there was an issue with the check-in date. The other heard her say my name and stated “I was lucky because she was about to give my room away since I wasn’t there the day before and didn’t answer my phone in that day when they called. I wasn’t supposed to be there the day before and I couldn’t answer my phone because I was actively riding my motorcycle on my way there. She basically ignored everything I said and continued in with her nasty attitude saying they called and I didn’t answer. I then let her know that at my gas stop I called back and got a voicemail she then stated once again very nasty that they didn’t have voicemail. So I asked who was Sharon realizing I wasn’t lying she then stated well I guess she called you from her personal phone. Which one is it you do if you don’t!!!? I then asked Danielle to please get me a supervisor because for one her attitude was very nasty and the whole conversation was about to go in a totally different direction. Two I been on a bike since 6 am through different weather and was tired. Three at no time was I rude to her. Four one of our chapters has this event their every year bringing a lot of us from all over the US on bikes. And last but not least it just want anyway to speak to someone especially when they weren’t being rude to her. When I asked for a supervisor her whole attitude changed then she became helpful and the tone in her voice was like speaking to a whole different person. Danielle spent about 3 minutes correcting the issue allowing me and my husband to be able to check into our room with one day I had already paid at booking and then only being charged for one more day. Not sure of the rude lady’s name funny thing she was the assistant superintendent, she needs to take some customer service lessons from Danielle. Hopefully by next year she will have had some extended training.

Loved the room and staff in lodge. Would absolutely be a 5, but was not informed upon booking that the pool was down, no boats would be available for rent due to the maintenance not being complete and we could not get help at the Off Road Course area. Beautiful place, just wish the other amenities were available. Left Vaca early.

Stopped to see the alligators and it did not disappoint. We went for a 10 minute walk and lost count how many we saw. Very cool.

Only down sides: lots of garbage in the waters and be careful where you walk, lots of fire any nests.

Booking was very easy, price for camping very reasonable, the ladies who checked us in were very friendly, the campground was well maintained, there was lots of wood around for firewood, the bathrooms were clean and well maintained (and had an AC/heater!), the showers looked a little dirty but weren’t bad. It wasn’t crowded - it was peaceful and pretty. The park ranger routinely drove around to make sure things were all good. They were doing a controlled burn so there was a lot of smoke, especially the first night we stayed there. It made for some fun photos though. It was really dark at night and we could see a lot of stars - very pretty!

We love this park for camping! It is always clean and so do quiet! It's only 45 minutes from home. We have been camping here since the late 1980's. Finally got our RV when I retired in 2020. Nothing more relaxing than camping!!!
