Welcome to the RV resort you have been waiting for. With paved concrete slabs and a waterfront community, you can experience the best amenities of modern life with natural wonders right at your doorstep.
We know you will love the atmosphere here at Cedar Cove RV Resort. Enjoy our onsite picnic area as well as cooking facilities to accommodate you any night of the week. Pets are allowed and you have access to a laundry facility. A bath house is coming soon for your convenience.
This brand new park has All concrete campsites and streets. Every campsite has full hook-ups: electricity 30&50 Amps, and all the necessary amenities: water, sewer, and WiFi throughout the entire park. We are working hard to bring the best amenities to everyone here at Cedar Cove RV resort.
We had a great stay from September 5 - 13, 2020. It was our first trip with our RV, and we used the time to visit with family and friends in the Houston area. The concrete pads looked brand new, and the hookups were easy with clean power. The other campers were very friendly and there were lots of dogs. I do have a couple of cautions for you:
1. The Pull Through spots have the least amount of outdoor space. The spot we had was impossible to "pull though" because you have to go in from the back side to pull through so you the hookups are in the right place. Our truck and trailer just couldn't make the cut. We ended up backing in :(.
2. The water pressure was not very high. It sputtered a lot.
Very friendly place! Upon check-in they gave us a free back of ice that lasted all week in our freezer :). It's an easy walk over to the boat ramp and beautiful views of Galveston bay. We would definitely recommend this resort, and suggest a back-in site... on the water if you can get it!
This park has good points and bad ones. The entire park is paved, easy to get around, right on the water and the provided wi-fi was awesome. However miscommunication, bad customer service, and poor planning have spoiled the all of the good points.
There are three types of spots with varied pricing. The more expensive spots are back-in, right on the water with a beautiful view of the bay, two parking spots, and lots of green space. Most even have outdoor grills included.
The most affordable spots are pull-through at the very back of the park, which is where we set up. Unfortunately, the spots are so close together that we couldn’t pull-through, we had to back-in, and once the park filled, we couldn’t even extend our awning. Take one step off our stairs and you’re faced with the next spot’s slide and sewer line. We could only park one vehicle at our spot. There is no room to sit outside next to our camper or set up a fire.
Additionally, there is an empty camper next to us with an open sewer line. The smell is awful, yet no one is managing the problem.
When I called ahead for pricing, I only asked Cathy about monthly rates -$500+ electric, w/$175 deposit, yet somehow when I got here and checked in, she decided to charge me for one week - $200. I had never even asked about a weekly rate because I intended to pay for a month. I told Cathy that I wasn’t sure how long we would be there, but I never said we would only be there a week. Cathy even told me that if I stay less than a month there wouldn’t be a refund, which I confirmed would be fine. I never signed a receipt or agreed to a charge. I just got an email that told me I was charged $200. We ended up staying for 3 weeks, so I should have just been charged for the month that I initially requested.
Cathy also neglected to tell me when I called ahead that we would have limited parking, and that our third vehicle would be $60 a month. We ended up having to walk halfway across the park to get to our cars.
Cathy made no accommodations for her mistakes, she never apologized, never offered a refund or credit towards a future stay. Poor customer service all around.
There are loads of RV parks in Baytown, and more are being built every year. We will pick another next time we are in town.
We stayed here 2 years ago and decided to do it again now that I am on a fixed income.
With money still a bit tight, I opted for the 500 a month pull through. The problem is that the camper next door has two pop outs, so we can not even use our awning.
We just have a small Jayco and 2 vehicles, which all three take up the entire pull through. It is definitely like being third class passage.
The space is so narrow that I have to park behind the camper and still end up having to use part of the grass of the neighbors to get my wife to the camper in her wheelchair.
It is such an issue that we are going to see about moving either to another spot or park next month.
These economy spots are great for the guy who is working 7 12s and just crashing, but for retired with disabilities it leaves a lot to be desired.
There are 147 buck differences between the premium and economy lots, and the misquotes are terrible even though they spray every other evening, it seems.
The property holds so much water this time of year, so like we discussed, we are looking at moving just to get away from the misquotes and enough room to change your mind.
Update 3/9/23
We were finally able to move to a different spot in the park, and what a difference it is.
We can now extend our awning, and we have room to do more around our little 17-foot Jayco. Including getting the wife in and out with the wheel chair.
Now, if we are lucky, we might see the expansion and new pool coming soon.
This is our second long-term stay at this RV park. The staff is always kind and helpful. The park has large pads with ample roads, making the process of positioning your RV much easier.
