Wow.. SAVE YOURSELF. We *tried* to stay here for 2 weeks but didn’t make it. We are a little family of 3 with a 6month old. Every 2 or 3 days, the landscaper, who says he’s the owner but isn’t would come BANGING on our door and yelling about something and harassing us. First was my tires were too close to the grass, next time was my dog was sleeping outside on a leash, and third time was we had a rug down. During the third time, I asked him to be more respectful. He then Called the cops and had us escorted off the property. He is very insecure and overly sensitive (will make more sense when you see him) and takes it out on the people at his campground. Reading reviews from other sites, I guess this is a weekly occurrence. 1.) don’t give you business to people like this. 2) don’t put yourself through this.
We absolutely love everything about Camp Sherrye. We're Wetumpka residents and therefore so thankful that an RV park like this has been developed. The owners are genuine, fantastic folks that are really putting their heart and sole into this development. For instance: when the manufacturers of the campsite fire pits weren't able to deliver enough for each site, the owners provided very nice solo stoves. The sites are all very large and level, accommodating any rig. The campground was very peaceful and quiet during our stay. I can also see this as a place that promotes a sense of community, especially with that pavilion which will be great for watching football in the fall. Overall this is definitely a 5 star!
We love Camp Sherrye! One of the reasons I recommend Camp Sherrye is because of Jeff’s diligence in maintaining this beautiful park and keeping the facilities and the pavilion clean and welcoming. BTW, the pavilion is a great place to unwind with friends and family! Jeff does an incredible job keeping the RV park safe and family friendly. If a visitor needs anything, Jeff is there to assist! Also, the owners are incredible and are accommodating with visitors requests! The few rules that are in place are to keep us safe and the park running in an orderly manner. All of this combined gives us peace of mind! Kudos Camp Sherrye! This is our happy place 😊
A little hesitant to write a review because I wanna keep this spot all to myself. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to get away this is it. Close enough to downtown Wetumpka to take your little lady shopping but then be back to the camper in 10 minutes. We spent every night in the screened in patio that overlooks the river. It thunder-stormed each night and was wonderful listening to the rain fall on the tin roof. We will be back. Please keep up the good work!!! Thank you for making a wonderful spot!!!
