Great Meadow surrounded by great camping spots with a lot of seclusion. There is water in the campground, but not at each site. There are several playgrounds and several shelters at Beartrap.

Lots of really decent tenting campgrounds! Some were close together which would be great for groups to not feel to spread out but still have your own space, but it wasn’t very full so you could find privacy if desired.

Great campground just a short drive from Casper. From city to campsite in under 30 minutes. Open firepits, bathrooms, and room for motorhomes, campers, and RVs. One great way to beat the heat in mid-summer, always nice and cool on the mountain. Weather can change quick so always bring a coat. Be sure to visit during the Beartrap Festival each Summer. Too much fun!!!

The website to reserve a site doesn't work well on the phone. Use desktop mode if you don't have a PC available. Other than that the place was full but the sites are spaced so you have plenty of room to yourself. Vault toilets new and clean. The park is patrolled. Do not attempt to come last minute and expect to sneak into a site. Those days are gone. Fun time all around. Lots of hiking and what not.
