From town: Go 3 mi S on US 85, then 3 mi E on dirt county road.
we always go here to fish. inly downfall is the county has done nothing to the dirt road leading in. it's awful and has so many ruts. I don't know how campers got back there without stuff inside broke. I feel the county needs to fix the road better to make it a better drive back in.
1/4 mile dirt road with a couple dozen camp sites along it. Each camp site has a picnic table and a fire pit with a grated grill (bring wood or charcoal). Three separate deep well toilet shacks. Boat ramp, playground, and horseshoe pit (bring your own horseshoes). Besides all the amenities, spectacular views around the lake. Great retreat location.
A nice little campground. Little hard to get to down a very rough road and into the Lake.
I love this place! I'm always here on a hot day with nothing to do! Beautiful sandy beaches, great water, bring your floaties, boats, jet skis, dogs, kids!! Only $7 day pass
We had a great time here, the water wasn't too cold and the BBQ pits were in a good location. Make sure to bring some strong bug spray, and whatever else it takes to combat the mosquitoes and flies!
