This is an excellent park. It is clean well taken care of and allows 2 nights of camping in an RV. It is a great place to start a float down the river. I will definitely be back with my trailer to spend a couple nights and float the river! Update: I returned and floated the river. Stayed 2 nights. I loved the free showers and dump station.

Nice little park that allows up to 2 nights free camping. They have fresh water and a dump station on site. The grass area are great in that you can walk barefoot and its like carpet. Its in the middle of town so everything is within walking distance. And a river runs thrust at one end. Nice little gem in the middle of town.

This place is the Taj Mahal of city park camping.  Located right beside the beautiful North Platte River, this place is stunning. Lush green well manicured lawns with picnic tables and bar-b-que grills throughout the park. Free water and a free RV dump station. There is also a dumpster for your trash. Hot showers as well!

There is room here for maybe 8 to 10 big rigs if everyone parks in a reasonable manner.  There were six rigs here the night we arrived and I saw room for at least two or three more.

Geo location: +42.762925,-105.391889

I've looked at some of the Google reviews, and I'm totally lost as to why anyone would give this place less than a five star review. The city has put out a lot of money to have a place like this for out of town visitors, and it is FREE. Good grief.

The rules are simple. You are allowed to stay here for two nights. Dogs must be on a leash, and no open alcoholic containers.

Beware: This park is located just across the street from the fairground. I suspect this place gets very busy when the fair is in town or when there is a rodeo event. Also, Business Loop 25 (aka West Yellowstone Hwy) runs along the park and it can get a bit noisey, but we have no trouble sleeping through street noise. If traffic noise brothers you don't come here.

Very nice, and mainly quiet park. Very shady. Nice concrete picnic tables scattered.

Riverfront access where people fish and launch kayaks or tubes into the river.

Tent or RV camping allowed. Potable water available. Dump station for RV. Bathrooms with hit showers open in the daytime.

Walking distance to food (try Chutes!), the fairgrounds, and the train museum/visitor center.

Likely will stay here again.

Super quiet area. The best night sleep we have had boondocking. Right on the river and just inside town. T-Mobile cell reception was great. Free for 2 nights. We even unhooked to run over to the natural bridge 20 mins outside town. Would definitely stay again.
