We have been renting these same cabins at Wilderness Campground for the last 5 years. The highlight for me has always been the disc golf course, but this place is great for kids. There's a great variety of activities around the park.
We enjoyed a few nights stay. It was a grandma and grandson getaway. A nice little campground with quite a few amenities. We rented a cabin right on bonnie lake for easy beach and water play. Would love to stay again and rent a few cabins to bring more family members.
We had a great time in a nice clean cabin, with air conditioning and a shower! The yelp reviews scared me at first, but the Google reviews are more accurate and current. The staff was friendly and we had no complaints. The office/snack bar had some good fried lunch/appetizer type stuff my kids enjoyed. They liked swimming and the bounce pillow. We didn’t try any other activities.
I cannot say enough good things about Wilderness in a short review! We have been Seasonal campers there now for 7 years and the owners take great pride in the upkeep as well as reinvesting in the campground. New lake toys, adding an additional pond and sites as well as playground updates horseshoe pits and a bags area. The list goes on!
The also do not slack on all the events they offer each weekend for young and old alike! Themed weekends with tons of activities and music every weekend from Memorial Day to the end of the season. Let's not forget the lakes and fishing! Lots of local eateries nearby as well as the wonderful Amish country shopping!
100% recommend this to anyone!
Went here to play disc golf. Amazing 18-hole course in the woods. lots of elevation. Campground itself looks great. Appears to have all the amenities that make a family campground 5 star.
