They have new owners again. The people in the office/store made me feel very unwelcome and like I was working them too hard just because I bought something in the store and they had to do their job. The lady wasn't friendly at all to my friends and I. The pool says it's open till 11pm on the sign and online but when I went it was closed at 8pm which is insane for a campground and in the summer. I have been going here for over 15 years and this is the first time I felt like never going back. Very disappointed
We were skeptical of giving this place a chance due to a lot of the reviews but we are soo happy we did. Really nice campground with beautiful trees and lakes. Extra plus is they had a fenced in dog park for our pups to go run around it. Extremely friendly staff and campers. I would definitely reccomend to give this place your own chance and not make a descision based on the reviews
This is our third summer camping here and we've always enjoyed it, my son asks to come here and I grew up camping here. This past weekend it was horrible. There was nothing to do, nothing was open and noone informed us that the office and game room was closing early. Some of the staff was rude and one staff member sat in her golf cart and fought with her boyfriend while using profanity for all of us and
our children to hear. The pool was drained, which is fine but again we were never told that. Just very disappointed and unless something changes, unfortunately we won't be back.
Pretty average campsite. The few times we had to interact w the staff we felt like an inconvenience to them. Campsites share electric so you need at least a 50ft cord - and if you don’t have one there’s no place within an hours drive to buy one. Campsites 7-14 and 16-23 are pretty horrible bc there’s a massive spot light on the pool that they didn’t turn off until about 12am which really put a damper on our campfire/shined into our camper. If you don’t have kids or don’t plan on using the amenities it’s really not worth the price.
I never leave reviews, but felt I needed to for this spot. I was nervous based on some reviews, but this campground was one my non state park favorites! The pool was clean, the dog park was helpful with 2 young pups, the bathrooms were clean, and our kids did not want to leave. There were plenty of activities for the kids (and adults). We will definitely be back!
