Terrible campground. Sites are very uneven with severe dropoffs. Surprised we didn't break one of the legs on the 5th wheel. Bathrooms are filthy. Trash is not picked up. Fire pits are full of garbage. Staff is not helpful. No check in time noted on paperwork or website but told when we got there it was 3pm and our site may not be available. Avoid this place at all costs.
Sky High is a great, neat and clean, family and pet friendly camping resort. With many activities for your family even if you never leave the resort proper your whole stay.
We took a last minute camping trip and this was our only option with weekend availability, now I can see why. I would not recommend this campground to families but I would to my older retired relatives. This campground seems to be more geared towards that crowd.
Cons:
•Everything was very outdated. The play equipment needs to be updated for sure.
•The uneven cement around the pool area (the side without the kiddie pool) is definitely a falling hazard. My son sprained his ankle on the uneven cement.
•They do not tell you about the trails by your sites when checking in, we found out about these by just taking one and seeing where we ended up. They have easier routes to the store and pool via these trails.
•Not a lot to do for the kids.
•90% of the arcade games were broken.
•Showers and bathrooms were always dirty. With over flowing trash cans in the stalls with feminine waste.
•Shower stalls have almost no where for you to place your items when showering. You get a bench that is probably 5x12 to set all of your things.
•The sites are awkwardly laid out, my sister was in 19 and it was very hard to figure out the layout and you're basically on top of your neighbors. We were in 52 which although beautiful it was not conventional for a large tent as it is almost all gravel.
•Outdated golf carts and only offer 4 seaters, and they will scold you if you have more than 4 (understandably so however there are also no options for families who are larger than 4)
Pros:
•BARTENDER ROB!! This man single handedly made us enjoy our weekend. He was so fun at Bingo and interacted with our young ones so well. This man is such an asset to this campground. What ever they are paying him it is not enough.
•Beautiful scenery
•Most of the staff was very kind, the young girls working the store were always helpful and nice.
Love this campground, we have tented here, we have had a pop-up here and now a Class A RV with full hook up and it has always been a great place to camp.
Fun activities for the kids, lots for the family to do with the kids.
The pools are A+, oh yeah they are heated so always a good day to camp.
I’m sure this is a nice place when it’s open. We had the water turned off on our trip due to weather, would have been nice to have been informed. It was late October, not the end of the world. Very nice color in the fall and looks like a lot of things to do.
