Red Oak campground provides campsites for both tents and RVs. North of Madison in the Wisconsin Dells, Red Oak has 30 acres of land to camp on. RV and Tent sites are complete with a fire pit and a picnic table.
Some of the camp sites are very large and spacious. With great proximity to anything in the Dells. However, the downside was the amenities of this campground. Bathrooms and showers are in need of routine maintenance and cleaning. Some of the showers and bathroom stalls are inoperable. And down right disgusting. Overall this was a ok campground but with it's location being a plus and current amenities being a negative 3 Stars is all I can give.
Very nice campground friendly staff saw alot of bad reviews about the facility but the bathrooms and showers were not that bad very spacious sites also very close to the dells
Overall we had a great weekend camping some of the sites are very spacious, ours was not, thankfully nobody camped next to us Or they would have been right on top of us.
They seem to do the minimum in the showers and the bathrooms and that is Stocking toilet paper rolls and paper Towels, No cleaning whatsoever seemed to be done while we were there, one of the soap dispensers was leaking all over the counters and dead bugs were in it 2 of the bathroom Stalls in the women's Bathroom appeared to Have dried blood all over the garbage cans.
Campground is right next to the highway so you can hear the traffic all hour's of the day-and-night but it's not that loud. Very inexpensive campground will definitely stay again. Pool was great, but not enough seating.
Wow! was passing through town and got a large shaded tent site for twenty bucks. Campground is huge tidy and wooded. Even have showers. Sure some people have complained that the showers are lukewarm but that's probably to keep the kids from taking hour long showers after being in the pool.
We’ve been going to this campground for over 20 years and we still LOVE it! Yes, it’s not a bare-foot bathroom area I don’t walk bare feet in my house either anyway so to me wearing flip flops in the bathroom is NO big deal. The pool is a nice size, the playground is nice for kids and the volleyball court for adults. The point of camping is to enjoy yourself and your family/friends.
