White Pines is here to offer camping guests a wonderful campground experience in the beautiful northwest corner of Connecticut. Located in Litchfield County, White Pines is situated in a quiet neighborhood, on top of Wallens Hill, in Barkhamsted. You will find plenty to do during your stay, both on-site and off-site, or you may choose to simply relax at your site. Take a stroll along our Happy Tails Trail, with your pawsome friend, as you head to our dog park. Fish in our stocked pond, or visit the nearby Farmington River for some world class fishing. Join any of our offered activities, or create your own fun times. Whatever you choose, White Pines is a great family campground, where life is simple, friends are plentiful, and campfires burn brightly.

Rented a park model. Bathtub area with mildew, no official door on bathroom, weak floor in bathroom afraid I'd go through it, not all of the lights inside worked, oven took forever to turn on so I gave up, some mysterious hazy leakage on side of camper. Out of state guests obnoxiously loud and in huge numbers. Music blasting till the wee hours of the morning. Run down facility. I don't think the toilet tank was emptied prior so it backed up quickly. We won't be back.
Family and I love this place for tenting. Tent sites are set back in the woods for the "real" tenting experience. We had a nice little babbling brook behind our site. Picnic table and firepit were on the site with plenty of room for our vehicle and 2 room tent. Plenty of organized activities for kids and adults. Kids caught a few fish in the lake and did some arts and crafts in the community room. Most campers we met were seasonals but all were friendly to us. This is our go-to campground and would highly recommend!
I absolutely hate leaving 1 star reviews, but this is the first campground we have stayed at that lacks any kind of customer service. We got in late, at 8pm and had site number 199. We have a tow behind 25 ft camper and struggled for 40 minutes in the dark until we had to move sites. The site we moved to was 202. The whole site is on a huge slant and has huge tree roots that we trip on every time we walk out of our camper. We went down to the front office where the girl merely looked at us and told us much larger RVs fit through there just fine and it must be driver error. I also asked for a receipt since I never got one when we were charged a month ago, and she told us that the email was in wrong and she couldn't reprint out a copy and that since we were here it's no big deal. When your website advertising sites starting at $50 and then we get charged $75 a night, while other people in the same kind of sites got charged less, it makes you wonder what kind of business they are running. I wanted to like this place, since it is dog friendly with a dog park, has a pool and some nice activities. But this will be our first and last time here. Very disappointing
We called this Campground several times and left messages to reserve a site. However, no one called us back. We were able to get through, and someone answered and we requested a deluxe site. However, their idea of deluxe is very questionable. Our site had none of the amenities that were listed. For what we got the price was way too high. Our site was wet and muddy. When we checked in, there was a young child behind the desk and an employee who knew nothing. I definitely would never go there again.
