Take I-84 to Exit 70 and turn left onto Rt 32. Take 1st right onto Village Hill Road and campground is 1 mile ahead on the right.
Great spot for tent camping! The fire pit was huge and amazing looking with big boulder walls! Friendly, attentive staff and a gorgeous lake with canoes and kayaks for guests to use! Bathrooms by store had showers which was amazing and the store was stocked with great souvenirs and supplies! We will be back for sure!
You get the sense this place is barely functioning.
Upon arrival I had to wait for the owner to open the office. He wasn’t super friendly, kept calling me “bud”, and as others have stated the his accounting practices are less than desirable. He asked for a few nights payment even though I had paid the first night months ago. I never saw another employee. He didn’t offer a site map or any info about the park. He didn’t give me the wifi password. He just showed me to my spot.
The shared bathrooms and showers are old, not very well maintained and frankly dirty and gross. There is no privacy. The water smells like sulphur. There was no soap in the dispensers and no paper towels at one point.
It was peaceful at night but you can hear the constant din of highway traffic in the background.
Because of my overall negative impression on numerous fronts, I won’t be returning.
Very accommodating and friendly people! We showed up in a rainstorm that made our original site a bit hard and they adjusted our site a few times giving us a beautiful lakeside spot! Paddle boat, canoes, kayaks for all guests to use! Firewood dropped off to our site, and owners had friendly conversation about our hockey sport travels - We enjoyed meeting Ian! We had a great time!
Just giving a two star because the lake and beach was good. Besides everything about this camping place is pretty bad. I see some good reviews here. I do agree with them if it was a couple of years ago. Then we received great service and things were so good and we returned back this year and got disappointed.
We were a group of 10 families and about 35 including small children. Charge us per person rate which is pretty high for such a place. We seen well behaved crowd. We were there for a bit of family time. No partying or booz.
Staff’s gave us a feeling that we weren’t welcome there. Just collected money and yes/no answers for most enquirers if at all we could meet someone. Office was closed most of the time and never called us back when leaving a voice message. The toilets were pretty bad. They just have one restroom with two toilets and two showers. They never cleaned it during our weekend stay and left at the same condition throughout beside them hosting a large party on Saturday. They provide insufficient number of free life jackets for the lake. Those life jackets are not easy to access as office is closed most of the time. Finding a staff is tough and they wouldn’t open the store to give us some although we are standing just in front of the store. Life jackets aren’t provided even for a charge. Felt the place is dangerous. Asking staff there is pretty useless. Received unwelcome and angry replies and no mentality to help. One staff actually felt being unfair to us and apologized for the behavior later but that didn’t make us feel any better.
Overall felt like they took our money and get out attitude. Very little fun here no one in our group is going back there.
Great campground, so peaceful and the lake and beach are beautiful, I had a great morning swim, we didn’t fish but hear it’s good. Lots of pitches overlooking the lake. Canoes available free of charge. Hosts very friendly and accommodating! Only complaint is the bathrooms which need a thorough clean, but still highly recommend!
