Very nice campground, the camp sites are not very close to each other, there are trees in between which offers campers privacy. The campsite is small so if you're planning to walk/hike could be a lil bit of a disadvantage. Our campsite was close to the river, beautiful and refreshing river view, good for fishing as well. The staff was very nice, they offer you pamphlets of maps and rules, bathrooms available with hot water.
The only con is that our campsite was close to a roadside so we could hear cars passing by. In general it's a great family friendly campsite.
Camp grounds are clean and quiet.
The facility has hot water and stock with toiletries.
It’s nice that the Farmington river is close to go fishing, it’s also good to be able ride your bikes around the campground.
I just wish there wasn’t so much spider in the bathroom.
Also the bathroom has a lot of peeling paint on the wall.
All the peeling paint and spiders can be removed if they power wash the walls every so often.
It’s also very convenient to have fire wood for purchase on site.
I would give five stars if it wasn’t for the spiders.
We had a great experience overall and will return.
Excellent camping experience. Quiet, cool, peaceful. Farmington river runs along the back of the campground. Stayed in cabin 7
Loved this camp site. Fewer spots means fewer people...😉 Bathrooms were great-3 toilet stalls and 2 warm showers with plenty of space. Bathrooms were freshly cleaned each AM. 4 stars only because we couldn't hear or see the river from our spot. Nothing at camp to do but relax, walk paths, or bike, walk down to swift river which is great. If you want more to do we went to other spots for swimming or kayaking. Camping spots larger and flat with nice trails. River was swift and we went to other close by locations for playing in the river.
I really love a quiet, heavily wooded, small campground with large, private sites and that is EXACTLY what you get here. Sites on the lake are lovely, but sites by the road seem noisy and lousy imo. I was at site 18 and it was honestly perfect! This was the quietest campground I've stayed at all year. Not much for kids, but I think it's lovely for people who want a relaxing getaway in the woods. Wood to buy on site, but that's about it. The water is off now but should be back on today or tomorrow they said; that did not impact my stay. Loved it!
