This is great location for a family trip. The stay includes many free activities (skating, tubing, pool) and there also inexpensive things you can add on (climbing wall, archery, crafts).
XC. The trail map they give you versus the ones on the actual trails don't match up. Some intersections have no trail markers so you're just guessing which way to go. Kept having to stop and look at map or ask other skiers. Fine. We survived. They need better signs at intersections.
We have been coming here for two decades and the location, community amenities (kiva, craft cabin, tubing hill, amazing views and trails all get 5 stars) staff was friendly and the communal space in the reunion cabins is great layout wise but the quality of the reunion cabins have declined. We were in centennial. So gross. Missing kitchen equipment. Very dirty, sticky floors, uncomfortable beds. Stains on the towels. Check out the layers of dust on the fans and the out of order heating in the rooms. We had a child get sick and vomit on the living room floor and they sent us over Lysol wipes to clean it up- no staff came to clean and didn’t provide us with adequate cleaning supplies - who knows what else is in that carpet. We had a great time because of the location and other amenities but the reunion cabins themselves are now like staying at motel 6 with ritz Carlton prices.
I can't think of a better way to experience the Rockies with my family.
The cabin was spotless and the kitchen very well equipped. The cabin was cozy and warm even at 0°
I can't wait to go back. It's magical.
The room was fine, dated but ok.
The staff was friendly, but we arrived early and could not check in. They said they would call us when it was ready.. we had to check back several time to get our room. The pool was closed, buckboard Cafe was closed, we missed lunch at the commons, had to wait 4 hours till dinner. The tubing on snow hill was closed, the craft shop was closed, the vending machines in our lodge did not work. We got a room with on the first floor so our son could play outside in the snow. It's a pet friendly hotel and someone's dog left a big dump right outside our sliding door. It's on the pet owner, not housekeeping, but it was the "cherry on top" of the stay. We drove straight thru from Houston, 20 hrs and were disappointed we could not do any of the activities we wanted to when we arrived. Not going to stay, leaving in the morning.
