Overall I’d say this place is a pretty nice stay. My family stayed here or three nights. The rooms were nice as well as the property. My only issue was the owners they tended to be a bit hovery. We had some friends come over to drop some stuff off and hang out and they immediately come running out of there office telling them they can’t stay here. Additionally some of my extended family was also staying here and before they could even get to the office to check in they were already being told to leave and they were like “no were staying here”. It really just felt like we were being watched the whole time. If you’re only sleeping here and not hanging out on the property I recommend, but otherwise I suggest finding somewhere else.
Checked in for a long weekend away. The check in process was quick and efficient.
We were given a short tour and instructions on how to use the hot tub, then we were taken to our accommodations given instructions on heating and cooling and even given some
Great recommendations on where to go in town. There were not many other guests but I will say that I think one or two of the rooms can accommodate animals. the people who checked in halfway through our stay had dogs who we could hear barking in our room-(they only barked when there owners were not in there with them) but just saying we could hear it very well. The hot tub was great. Would totally recommend!
Lisa and Timmy do a wonderful job keeping the lodge up to date. They did a fantastic job using the space wisely, in fact Tommy built the furniture thst holds the refrigerator, coffee, microwave, etc. Lisa gave us a nice tour when we arrived and made us feel at home. We sat put by the fire pit and night and chatted with the other guests. It was so relaxed and welcoming. They have quiet time between 11pm and 8 am, so it was really quiet. Just lovely! I highly recommend it. We so the Elk buggleing in the neighborhood on the way to the Hiwan Golf Course. Lovely hiking trails all around. They had brochures for everything right where we checked in. They even have books on a shelf in the room that you can read. Nice art work and furniture in the room including 2 chairs to sit in. There was also a little patio outside our door.
The hosts, Tommy and Lisa, were terrific! We felt very welcome immediately. The room was fantastic- very clean, very cozy and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again! We highly recommend staying here.
Beautiful place. Got the Enchanted room and enjoyed to the fullest. It's cozy, warm, pretty, and they even put a teddybear on our bed :) There is a fridge and a microwave and some dishes. Sweet and well-designed bathroom too (just one thing: the toilet stopped flushing and I had to reconnect the chain inside, but was able to do it myself without calling the reception). Separate entrance to the room which also has a spacious terrace with a firepit, gorgeous mountains outside and a great little outdoor jacuzzi to complete this great experience.
