Great, moderate but highly trafficked hike and lake. Recommended!
Crazy busy, Road Block set up weekends 8am-4pm for "Full Lots" above.
A very beautiful spot to go camping, hiking, or both! This place makes my heart explode every time I go, out of pure appreciation of the natural beauty of the place. I have made 2 trips here in the past week from the Denver area, and I’m sure I will be making more! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a hike and a gorgeous view!!
This was a great hike. Started from the Fourth of July trail head and took that trail to connect to the diamond Lake Trail. Diamond lake is beautiful and perfectly nestled between evergreens and the Indian peaks.
The trail is generally uphill, but nothing too intense. You get to enjoy scenic views of the mountains, waterfalls, and streams. The loop was about 5.8 miles out and back. Very enjoyable!
This is a great hike that isn't that challenging. The trail says 2 miles but it's really 3 miles up. The waterfall is off a short trail on the way up but you can see it from the main trail. You're mostly in the trees until you reach the lake which is right at the tree line. The trail is well kept and there is usually adequate parking during the week. The weekend can get a little crowded.
