From Lakeshore, CA, take Huntington Lake Rd. east 0.9 miles to campground sign. Turn right at sign into campground. NOTE: Huntington Lake Rd. becomes State Rt. 168 in 0.4 miles. All campers must first go to registration office off State Rt. 168 (turn at Mono Hot Springs sign/Forest Rt. 80 at northeast end of Huntington Lake) to pay and receive site assignment. This requirement includes campers having previously made reservations.
Annual pass normally gives %50 discount but they are not accepting recreational Annual pass due to a private company.
Tranquil place on the lake. Fresh air brisk water. Total relaxation. No motor boats on the lake so no noise like other lakes.
It's a comfy place to camp, fish and tell stories about the good old days. We all had fun skinny dipping in the lake with the other camper's. My wife liked singing in the forest late at night like a wolf. She's so crazy fun was had by all. We will be back next week for more fun. Peace and love everyone. ♥️🤙✌
We got a tent site closer to Huntington Lake & it was beautiful. Very well maintained. Hats off to the Rangers out there very friendly. Lake is clear & warm for swimming, kayaking, fishing and more. It's definitely busier on weekends. Do checkout the Rancheria Falls which is about 2 miles hike or 1 mile with car. Also, shavers lake marina is great to hangout.
What an incredible camping trip! It was our first time camping here, and were welcomed by the best camp hosts we have ever had. Shane and Vicky were welcoming from the start, knew every camper by name, and were ready to help in a moments notice. My mom and I felt incredibly safe, and with Shane being so available and attentive I would recommend this campground for anybody—everybody is welcome. And don’t get me started on the view! We left with full hearts and full bellies from all the food our new camper friends shared— couldn’t have had a better time!
