Very untidy and filthy. On checking in the room, we found out that there were dirt and webs on the blanket. We were too tired to take any measures so we just cleaned basic stuff and slept off. The next morning we discovered two pills from under the bed (pics attached). They don’t belong to us. My clip fell down from the nightstand in the night time and to find it I put my hands under the bed and I found socks from there..shocking how they completely ignore and so irresponsible in “basic” cleanliness. WE MADE A CALL FOR HOUSE KEEPING AROUND 8:30am and it’s 3pm now. Nobody has stop by to clean yet. Not sure when they gonna show up. We are still staying here unfortunately and leaving tomorrow morning. THEY REALLY DO NOT CARE FOR THEIR GUESTS. PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER THIS PLACE TO STAY IN.
I've visited Bass Lake a million times over the years and I think that everyone has heard of The Pines Resort. Recently my family and I decided to book a chalet. We arrived early and they were totally accommodating. To our surprise they had overbooked the chalets but they upgraded us to a suite free of charge. We had a great time! It is so peaceful and quiet, we got to swim, we had a perfect view of Bass Lake from our room. We had an encounter with a black bear in the parking lot and we even got to feed a family of raccoons. The wildlife encounter might not be typical for everyone but as soon as we heard that wild animals do venture through at night we knew we had to go looking. We DEFINITELY didn't leave disappointed. It was everything we had hoped for and more. They even offered us an extra night for 50% off and if we didn't have work/school the following day we would've jumped on it. We will most certainly be back and we surely recommend the pines to anyone who's looking for a nice little get away from the craziness of the city.
We have been going to Pines Resort for family vacations for many years and absolutely love the place. The owners are involved and even treated our son to a birthday gift. The location is exceptional, directly on the lake and close to Yosemite. They allow dogs in some of the chalets. Kids get a campfire and s'mores in the evenings. Water sports equipment is readily available on the lake. Casa Velasco Mexican Restaurant which is within walking distance is great as well.
We had an awesome stay here! Nice view of the lake from the patio, which was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee or watching the sunset. They were dog friendly and even brought my dog a little gift. We loved the restaurants- especially the open air one playing live music. It was quiet and peaceful and beautiful. Overall nice stay.
The chalets are adorable, they provide so much. It's spacious and clean. Didn't know we were getting one, we thought we book a regular hotel room. We wonderfully surprised to see a kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, and toaster. The check-in attendant (Amanda) was super polite and helpful. There's more to add, but all in all, highly recommend this place.
