About Campground

Located on over 1,000 acres of rolling hillside and lush pasture lands that encompass a scenic 60-acre lake, Shenandoah Crossing Campground and Resort is the perfect place to stay for those who love the outdoors. The resort combines an old country estate and horse farm with acres of wilderness in a pristine area that lies just beyond the Shenandoah Valley. Enjoy the rustic elegance of a 2- or 3-bedroom cabin featuring full kitchens and baths, fireplaces, master bedrooms, balconies and porches, and separate dining and living areas.

For a slightly more exotic, stay try a 1- or 2-bedroom luxury yurt stay. Furnishings include four-poster beds with plush linens, flat-screen TVs, elegant bathrooms and fully-equipped kitchens, all with central heat and air. Stay in an open-plan yurt with one bed and pullout couch or a 2-bedroom unit, plus pullout couch. Outside, you'll also enjoy a large wooden deck area with summer kitchen.

Shenandoah Crossing also features state-of-the-art RV sites with furnished patios and summer kitchens; some even offer personal hot tubs and stainless steel barbecue grills.

This is a review of the room we bought for participating in a Bluegreen time share review presentation. We stayed in THE LODGE. The Lodge rooms are vastly different from the Cabins and Yurts on the property. Overall, we were disappointed in the lodge rooms and the sheer lack of amenities at the resort. It was New Year's weekend, and the place was like a ghost town... We like to take these review short trips because it us a chance to check out new resorts before we take our family. The surrounding area is beautiful, but from our experience, most resorts have everything we could need. This one fell very short of our previous bluegreen experiences. Beware the closest grocery store is about 20-25 mins away. I do believe our stay would've been a completely different experience if we had been in a cabin or yurt. With that being said staying in a lodge of bluegreen we were not prepared for what little is available... drink machine empty... no microwave in our room... no restaurant or bar... maybe another trip with friends in a cabin... maybe not...

Only issue I found was I asked what activities we needed reservations for and was told movies and golf carts that’s it they failed to mention we needed it for the stables. This causing some family not to be able to attend. Also they recommended Well Hung and that’s where we got the gift cards to and they knew we had children with us but this restaurant is NOT child friendly at all. I am not mad about it but was disappointed. Organ than that everything was great.

This is one place you have to experience yourself!! Shenandoah Crossing is one of the nicest places we have been to in a long time. The resort is well manicured and kept pristine! We stayed in a deluxe site and the large concrete RV sites can comfortably fit any size rig and the patio has its own table and chairs to accompany the gas grill and a few Adirondack chairs for around the campfire. We managed to book a few weeks here and got to see the leaves change from their summer to fall colors which made our walks around the resort that much better. Some friends were camping here as well in the Wilderness sites and they were nice as well. Semi level gravel sites tucked away in the woods. Those sites did not have any chair or tables but offered plenty of shade and some quiet neighbors that we never had in the upper camping areas. During the week it was very quiet but it was another campground on the weekends with parties going well into the night. The bath houses were spotless and the free laundry was a nice addition. The resort offers a few different pool options, a large camp store with restaurant as well as stables on site. Activities are scheduled daily and plenty to chose from while you are here. This is a must stay if you can book it and one you will want to come back to. We are already planning our next trip through the area.

Really great experience all around. Lots of stuff to do on site, the view of the water from our cabin was really great. Fairly modern TVs inside and a good amount of cookware and dish-ware was available. We did not have to worry about bringing anything such as trash bags, dish detergent, laundry detergent, shampoo, body wash, etc. everything was provided. Really great customer service from the employees. They truly provided us with a relaxing vacation! Highly recommend staying here if you’re in the mood for some time in the mountains.

The yerts are so cool. Kids love them! This place has a lot to offer. The indoor pool/ hot tub is the same temp. So no hot tub 😭. The outdoor pools are freezing, but my kids still jumped in. Nothing like a good polar plunge in February. It's good for you. Really wish they had a sauna. They have a general store, and restaurant on site and tons of activities for younger kids. There is mini golf and a marina. Marina is closed right now. I would want to come back in the summer.

It's clean they have laundry. The only gripe with the yerts is that the lighting is horrible in the bedrooms. They really need another light in there.

The trail riding is amazing highly recommend!!!
