Located 5 miles south of Branson, Mo., on State Highway 65, then 6 miles west State Highway 86, then 2 miles north on State Highway UU to Park.
Beautiful campground with an awesome view and super nice people. My only complaint would be that I reserved my spot as full hookup and there is no sewer.
Old 86 campground is one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have visited.
The ONLY complaint, the grass hadn't been mowed in so long, on some camp sites, the grass was knee high.
One could not walk through this tall grass without chiggers making themselves at home on your body.
PLEASE, today is Aug 22, 2023, mow (or bale) the grass at Old 86 Campgrounds. The grass is ridiculously high here.
We camped here twice - once last year and last week. We camped in Site 15 last year and loved it. This year we got Site 1 but thought it had a lot of sun and grass behind us was very high. With chiggers biting this year, we didn't walk across that grass. The showers are clean but could use better shower heads. Love the lake and the coves that are here. Good swimming area and fishing. Nice quiet campground!
