So the employees are completely unprofessional and rude .. they tell you one thing and do the exact opposite. My dog is highly scared of fireworks and we were told it would be at the end of the campground, but it was actually at the middle by where we had our site. She has a nervous breakdown, thanks garrisons. We will not be back and I will tell everyone I know to not visit your establishment...

We tent camped and floated. The area was in great shape. The evening entertainment over the weekend was super memorable. The service to and from floating was great. Lots of fun stuff to do there. Always enjoy Garrisons!

As soon as we entered our cabin we were hit with a extremely strong smell of air fresheners. As the day went on we found out why, they were trying to hide the musty mildew smell. There were 2 window a/c units and only one was running when we got there so it was about 85 degrees in the cabin. Then as we were cleaning up to leave on Sunday we spotted several cockroaches. I addresed these issues with the teenagers running the office as we left, gave them my name/number, asked to be called by management, and never heard a word from them. So my advice is, dont spend $1500 on a place that does not care about its customers.

It's a decent campground, Tent camping to full hookup sites. A lot of the trailer/RV sites were pretty close to each other. Not ideal if you're looking for a lot of space. Other than that the grounds were well taken care of and the staff was friendly and helpful. We did a 6-mile float on the Meramec River. The water was clean and Clear for the most part. We rented a six person raft and a kayak and apparently the water was at a decent level which means we did not have to drag the raft over shallow water. It was a nice float definitely recommended.

The new owners are doing a fantastic job! You can tell the place was in need of some updating and repairs and they are working diligently to get things going smoothly. Margaret approach us and told us they were having intermittent issues with the showers , so if we had any problems to please come tell her asap so she could help us.

They put on a great celebration for end of season customer appreciation weekend. Good food, a hay ride that some of my family members really enjoyed and a fireworks show that would rival some of the 4th shows in the area.

We also enjoyed a great float and relaxing atmosphere throughout!

The place is more rustic than some of the other big places in the area, but they're also smaller and friendlier.

Thanks for all the hospitality and we will be back soon!
