From jct Hwy 47 & US 67: Go 4 mi N on US 67.
Exceptional trail, abundant with wildflowers, ferns, moss, and beauty. The waterfall is absolutely stunning - one for the books. The trail we took (I don't remember the name off hand) was moderate difficulty and highly scenic. Be careful of poison ivy and poison oak, as the trail is plentiful. Also, wear bug spray - ticks in 2023 are numerous.
I've always loved this park, I have been coming here for over 40 years. Recently I have been exploring their trails and I have really enjoyed it. We have picnics and birthday parties here and it's really a great place to get away and get into nature. It's beautiful here!
We have stayed here in our RV several times. It's one of our favorite small parks. It's lovely. There's a nice little river, ideal for kids, we put lawn chairs in it and sit because we're old: but it's a great place and not a far drive from St. Louis.
