We went here this past summer and it was a very big let down! They cancelled floats all day with beautiful weather and it never stormed, then the next day it was actually storming and they didn’t cancel any float trips and we still had to pay for cabin and trips. Service was rude. The grill was closed entire time.

The services here are great. We had a medical emergency and everyone was very helpful and took excellent care of the situation. That being said… I am feeling like they take every opportunity to squeeze money out of you. My brother had to arrive at his campsite earlier than actual check in and was charged additional money to set up on an already vacant campsite (seriously) campers like to start their day before 3:00. Even hotels let you check in early if your room is ready!! Then I was greeted by a nasty tempered girl who reprimanded me for checking in 1 hour before check in to my cabin that was cleaned and ready ( why is this a problem?) . My nephew was charged for a day pass at 3pm and told he had to leave by sundown it’s camping they came for the campfire and evening activities it was the Halloween spooktacular for gosh sake!!! Checking in times need to be flexible in a campground and a day can’t end at sundown in October.

We just did our second float trip. Last year we stayed in two cabins but this year we stayed in rooms in one of the larger buildings. I can say with confidence that the bar of soap supplied is the smallest thinnest bar of soap I have ever seen. The room was generally neat and clean and the bed was comfortable. Absolutely bare bones but perfectly fine to crash in after an all-day float.

I want to start off and say I use to love this resort. I personally have floated and stayed here multiple times. But since the new management/ownership took place, it has gone completely downhill. The staff will absolutely ruin your stay. I have never witnessed such rude, unprofessional, and unethical management in a business before. They are not BBB accredited, meaning they have no ethical or moral responsibility towards their customers (which should be noted) because they lack every ounce of respect towards their customer base. They only want your money and they made that very, very clear. After being upcharged multiple times when trying to book with them this summer, they only called me names, implied I was stupid, and said it is what it is. I started to question the pricing after the first few calls, going off what I saw on the website and I was told by multiple employees that they had inaccurate pricing on the website. Since they could not give me an answer as to why their prices were higher than what I was seeing, I asked them to honor the prices I was seeing. After the many, many calls with all the employees, I asked to speak to a manager to see if they could help out. The manager (Holly) refused to speak to me until I was past the date for a full refund. By the time I was able to talk to her and explain my issues, she told me very clearly she had no interest in helping me. She sighed and had an attitude the whole phone call. Holly gave me zero answers to every question I asked and only would say that it’s none of my business how they run their company. Between the rude remarks she made at me, the months of energy and time I wasted trying to book here, and all the misinformation, miscommunication, inconvenience, and frustration, I asked for a full refund. Holly absolutely refused and charged me the cancellation fee even though I was working with them on these issues for months and this was the first I was able to speak to her. Like she said, she has no interest in helping her customers. She let me know she does not care AT ALL how much money you spend with them or how long you’ve been a valued customer at this resort, she is just (in lack of better words) money hungry!! This whole process was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a business. I very highly do NOT recommend booking here and I very highly recommend a change of management.

Sincerely,

A once loyal customer who was absolutely crushed by this whole exchange.

This place used to be awesome. New ownership is not working out well for this place.

We used to stay here at least one week every year with friends and family, but I can't justify going back given their current business model.

Service is starting to drop.

Prices increased dramatically in 2024.

It's now $100/night for a family RV site. This is nearly twice last year's price.

A deluxe cozy cabin is now $225/night, which is nearly $100 more than when we rented one 2 summers ago.

I don't mind spending money on vacations, but this place is out of touch with the going rate for similar campgrounds. They increased their prices way more than most other businesses have over the last year.

I gave 2 stars because the campground has more activities than most, and the kids really enjoy the river. I can't justify giving more stars because there are plenty of other RV campgrounds for half the cost with nice amenities.
