Lower Lake Road is off Route 269 in Barker, NY, via Route 18 or 104.
Nice place to bring your family with your campers or just to enjoy alone. There is a lighthouse you can tour and get great views from the top but it is only open until 4pm. And also clean and nice bathrooms all around the park. It was extremely quiet there which seemed a little unusual but was very relaxing. There is also a beach down the road more and a marina. Would recommend for sunsets!

I was very skeptical before booking this place but I am very happy with my decision now. The State Park is beautifully maintained. I stayed in B Loop and did Tent Camping
Few points to consider and note:
1. A lot if sites have water view front
2. There is a children play area
3. Washrooms were super clean and both hot/cold water was available 24/7
4. Woods are NOT SOLD here. Buy wood locally through CASH payment. Nearest place is Crosby’s Barker (Gas station). Here you can buy wood if you don’t have cash. Rest there are a lot of places which sell wood on cash. Best rates would be $10 for a complete row of wood.
5. The lighthouse seem to have haunted stories like any other lighthouse. Maybe of your interest! You can book a Cottage which is $200 a night which is on the 2nd floor of the lighthouse to experience the thrill 🤪
6. There are water outlets at the RV Campsites and other water outlets at different tent sites
7. I personally feel that this is more for RV/Trailer campsite and less interesting for Tent camping. Only a few sites are good for tent. I was lucky to get a nice view.
8. There were less insects and bugs compared to other camping areas which was definitely a plus.
9. There is a store available (actually office) which closes at 6 daily. You get 10lbs ice here for $3.
10. There is minimal fee for Lighthouse tour. I highly recommend to tour the lighthouse. Prices in my photos attached.
Sunsets 🌅 were the BEST.
This is a very nice state park!
Great sites, great playground, great/clean bathrooms!
Definitely reccomend the lighthouse tour. That was really neat and the overlook is phenomenal.
Only downside is you have to buy firewood outside the park, and there's not a great fishing area at the boat launch/marina part of the park.
