One of my favorite parks to visit. It's about 30 minutes from where I live.but well worth the drive. The beach doesn't get overcrowded (unless holiday). The beach has some rocky areas. They have a playground for the little ones. They have charcoal grills you can use. Some of the most beautiful sunsets I have seen been here. It's perfect to be in the water watching the sun go down with that special someone!
Love coming here, whether it's by myself for some peace and tranquility by the water, with a friend to enjoy the scenery and a walk, or with my family or friends so the kids can enjoy the playground and fresh air. Such a beautiful place. My sister got married here a few years ago as well.
This is a beautiful state park. Lots of spaces for parking and picnic areas. The grass was nice and the beach was excellent. My only gripe is the cliff from the grass to the beach is quite a drop. If you have little ones, keep an eye on them if you're near that area! There is nothing at the edge of the cliff. It's a straight drop down to the beach area which is about 20 feet or so. The path down to the beach is completely trashed from the winter storms and full of driftwood so be careful getting down there.
Great little beach. Looking for sea glass, didn’t find much Clean. We had a great sunset 11.5.23
Wonderful. But beware of annoying dog owners with long leads on their dogs who think it's okay to have their dog run up to you and circle you even though there are signs posted not to do this, but their dog is very special 🙄 They also don't pick up their dog's poo or leave it in the plastic bag on the beach. More patrolling would stop this. I'm actually surprised dogs are allowed at a beach considering their poo causes infections amongst swimmers.
