Always a great experience.

Early autumn hike with sneaky views of the Upper and Middle falls. (Upper falls are hidden from the gorge trail and can only be seen in full from the corner of a clearing at the base of the East Rim Trail)

Beautiful waterfalls!

We did the Ridge trail, which turned out to be about 2 miles. Half of the hike is along the brook with water views and waterfalls - simply gorgeous! And you can swim in the book/waterfall.

The other half of the trail is in the wooden area and has lots of stairs up and down.

The hike is too short to be truly moderate, but you will feel the stairs.

Amazing playground and picnic area on premises.

Absolutely gorgeous state park! Our first time here at Stony Brook State Park! Came for an overnight date night! Would definitely come here again longer! There is a lot of stairs, must be physically fit to do all the trails! Swimming hole is amazing! There are a lot of private swimming holes also along the creek! This park is a must see!

Very beautiful park! It's bigger than it looks on the map. The gorge trail is beautifully filled with waterfalls, bridges, and stone stairs. Lots of people were swimming all along the gorge trail. There is also a natural pool in the front area near the parking lot. There is currently construction building a bath house and life guard station (and a pool?). Would highly recommend this park!
