Upside…great potential, great location and big spots….
Downside.. despite charging top dollar and not honoring KOA free night reward stay, the money they pocket should go towards paving the place. If you like a dust bowl when it’s dry or a mud pit when it’s wet, this place is for you! Don’t waste your time cleaning your rig or you tow vehicle..you’ll be doing all over again when you leave.
Open, airy sites with picnic tables and fire ring. The large RV sites have a cement pad. Indoor pool and fitness center. Recreation building with posted activities. Spotless restrooms and showers. Miniature Golf, gigantic outdoor slide, playgrounds with rock climbing wall. Very festively decorated for Halloween. Great camp store and really nice staff. Also have small cabin rentals. On Thursday-Sunday has a food wagon.
My friend found a hole in the wall while showering and when she looked thru a man was backing up from the hole..... turns out he is an employee there. She told management and they didn't take it seriously so the police were called. Beautiful place, good accommodations, JUST DONT TRUST THEIR STAFF!!! Management made my friend feel even worse about the situation and did nothing for her, so much that she called the cops. I take that as the management defending the actions of that peeping tom...... I will NEVER stay here. There are plenty of other camping spots. Beware.
Disclaimer! They need to provide a disclaimer about the noise coming from the international race car track located nearby. It was so loud that my dog literally shook the entire time! If you're not from this area you wouldn't know and since I associate camping with quiet and nature sounds. Worst place we have camped in 45 years. I stated another reviews The traffic through here is too fast especially go-karts going 20 miles an hour (creating dust up and down the roadway) if you happen to have a campsite on the road through the campground. Small unlevel sites. Some of the amenities look unsafe to use or shut down. Way too much money to deal with all of this!!!
