About Campground

Mount Pleasant Resort is the most recently opened resort in the Outdoor Adventures family. Within the resort, you can enjoy the large campsites, the pond and lakes for fishing and swimming, the playground, organized activities, clubhouse, and more! Outside of the resort, you can take advantage of all that the city of Mount Pleasant has to offer: Central Michigan University (Fire Up, Chips!), Soaring Eagle Casino and the world-renowned entertainment that performs there, Soaring Eagle Water Park, the historic Broadway Theatre, the championship Pohlcat golf course, and more.

This resort is a jewel that we are very proud to offer to our guests. We have worked hard on it and continue to do so. We couldn't be more excited to welcome you all to Mount Pleasant Resort and can't wait to see you there!

Very clean. All sights have full hookups. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Good dog beach and run. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Back at Mt. Pleasant ODA. It seems to have become our favorite ODA park. We do need to check out some of the other's. Wilders is very nice and then there's our home park in Kalamazoo's. We just enjoy camping at ODA.

UPDATE: Today they sent out an email stating that they are selling the Rifle river location, and that members are under the collectively false understanding that the memberships are oversold. So, now they are reducing inventory and gaslighting their members that their collective experiences are untrue. Absolutely awful experience with this company and it’s only going to get worse. Enjoy my thousands you have taken with no usable deliverable and now reduced inventory. We do NOT use this and have not for years. We just want out

I only have experience in the Mount Pleasant location. It seems to be the only one that has all equal campsites. They are all 50 amp full hookup (W/E/S), many are pull through and spacious. Nice place to take your camper. All of the other locations in Michigan are not like this. The sites vary greatly. Some are full hookup 50 amp and it is all over the place beyond that. Mix of 20/30 amp full hookup, water/electric only sites, or even 20 amp only water/electric sites.

Now I get it, not every needs 50 amp full hookup sites. That's fine. The problem is that the way the system works is that you CANNOT reserve a specific site, you can only make a general reservation and only upon arrival are you able to go on a hunt and find a site. This is a problem if you are traveling a distance and have no idea what will be available. If you have a small camper or popup, probably doesn't matter. But if you have a larger 30 amp or 50 amp setup, that changes.

It's absolute roll of the dice for all of the other locations. You better go fully prepared for any situation, because you may get the site you need, you may get a decent one but a bit less than you prefer, maybe you don't get sewer, maybe you have a big rig and it's 90 degrees outside and you only get 30 amp water/electric, maybe you can't fit on any of the leftover sites. You'll never know until you get there!

Then there's other issue that was absolutely sold as "No problem, sir!" in the sales pitch: availability. We were told time and again that "maybe" there could be some issues with major holidays if you wait until the last minute, but even on those weekends there was a decent chance of getting in last minute, because it's sooo exclusive and not open to the public.

As of yesterday 8/6/2020 we were told that the Mount Pleasant location (15 minutes from our house) is booked solid until the beginning of September. The other locations weren't booked solid, but only had enough leftover that you know what you're going to end up with: the junk sites. We have a 42' fifth wheel, and this was one of our main concerns during the sales process, and it was said over and over that the accommodations for larger campers was one of the reasons we should buy in. We can't roll the dice driving for hours, only to have little under powered sites leftover.

Don't even try reasoning with anyone, not going to happen. The staff is so jaded and fed up with the whole thing that they couldn't care less if they tried. The contracts rope you in, and you can't sell it off to anyone else unless you pay the top tier package (thousands of dollars more), and in writing they basically tell you 'So sorry if anything was misrepresented during the sales process. Too bad so sad.'

This could be a good thing, but it is WAY over sold, the exclusivity is a joke at this point, member-to-campsite ratio is so diluted now that you will need to plan your summers a year in advance, and this is all priming members to start making mass bookings way in advance so others can't book closer to camp time, and then the previous bookings will just get cancelled and there's a missed opportunity for someone that actually wanted to go.

Go ahead an buy into it, and you'll see it's a missed opportunity turned into a cash grab, nothing more.

Just pay per night at any other campground. You can pick your accommodations, you know exactly what to expect, you can properly plan your vacations, and you'll save money when you're not paying for something you can't use.

People are great. Store is small. Phone service sucks. The showers and restrooms are nice, clean and ventilated. Pool n Jacuzzi are large and kept clean.

We love this park. The staff and other campers are so sweet and we love how quiet it gets at night. There is a lot to do and just 10 minutes from everything you could need in town.

Love ODA of Mt Pleasant staff are always friendly and helpful. Pool is awesome and not freezing so relaxing to just get in the water without having to inch in lol. The only thing is I didn't like is waiting for someone to come back to the pond to get the kayaks we would go at the top of the hour and no one would come. That was disappointing for the kids. But overall its a great campground.
