Well…. The campgrounds were nice enough. We were there for a month staying to work in the area. The only real issue is the rampant homeless issue they have. There are regular homeless people who come to use the facilities after the staff has left at 8PM. The results of this was toilets not flushed, or the full toilet roll placed in the toilet. Clothes and general mess. Cigarette butts in the shower. A little light graffiti but not too bad or offensive. Pretty unoriginal actually. One guy gave himself a haircut and left the hair all over the floor. The best one was what appeared to be a long wire on the sink (from my experience watching drug shows on TV) I could only assume it was used for shooting something up. There was also a blood borne pathogen cleanup kit left on the sink counter. Gross. I can try to sympathize with the unfortunate circumstances of these people but a camping facility should not be the venue to do so. There are women and children that could be put in danger if the wrong situation happened. I reported this probably 3 times but besides seeing the Tribal Police do a drive through nothing was done. I believe it was Samantha who told me that they know.. they know.. but there aren’t any cameras (which there are outside the bathrooms but must not work) and hopefully they will have it figured out next year. And also it was my responsibility to call and report every time. So basically she took 0.00% responsibility. It’s sad because it’s a nice place. They don’t have a gate entrance like state parks so that would be a recommendation for a solution. So if you stay there under current management induced conditions.. be aware of your surroundings. Definitely don’t let your wife or kids got to restroom alone until they resolve there shortcomings. Other than that it’s a nice campground.
