**Dancing Fire is an up-and-coming Glamping & RV Resort located in Port Huron Township, Michigan.**
**About the Resort**
Choose the experience of sitting around a campfire, with s’mores in hand, and sleeping in luxurious accommodations without the hassles of loading up the truck and pulling an RV / putting up a tent. This is what glampers are looking for!
Dancing Fire Glamping and RV Resort (formally known as Port Huron Township Campground) will undergo extensive redevelopment following the 2023 camping season and will re-open in Spring 2024 with many new resort amenities, including a new upscale clubhouse reception area with attached pavilion, patio, pool and hot tub area, fitness and yoga space; a pickle ball court; a fenced dog run with dog bathhouse; a playground; and scenic walking trails. Other amenities will include EV charging stations for those wishing to arrive in their electric vehicles. These amenities will be rolled out over the 2024 and 2025 camping season, so thank you in advance for your support and patience while we build these out!
In addition to the new resort amenities, many new options for glamping hospitality beyond traditional campsites will be offered, including The Cottages @ Dancing Fire (luxury park models), Rustic Deluxe Cabins, The Safari Camp @ Dancing Fire (lux style safari tent units), The Bus Stop (stay in a Skoolie! And if you don’t know the term, Google it – so cool!), Vintage Airstreams and RVs, and several other glamping options that will eventually be rolled out (think tree houses, A-frame cabins, and other very cool stays!). Many of these glamping units will be available for the 2024 camping and glamping season, so stay tuned for when reservations open to book your 2024 stay with us!
Our lodging is being designed to accommodate couples and both large and small groups. Our 25+ acre hillside location overlooks Stocks Creek, a 40-acre natural sanctuary that offers beautiful views, trails and bird watching. Stocks Creek connects directly to the Black River, which winds through our Port Huron community out to the St. Clair River and on to Lake Huron. Kayak and canoe rentals will be offered to take advantage of this beautiful waterway, as well as bike and e-bike rentals so that our guests can deepen their exploration and adventuring around historic downtown Port Huron and the Blue Water Area’s beautiful sandy beaches, river walk views (watch the freighters!) and Blue Water Bridge that stretches across the St. Clair River into Canada.

Decent. Well maintained showers with good water pressure and heat. Host is very nice. The ground are missing some trees to make it less feel like an RV parking. Most campers are elder and nice. Very few shady caracters. The road nearby is very noisy with people contantly accelerating their motor bikes and muscle cars.
We just finished up our weekend stay in the Bus Stop aka The Skoolie Bus. Me and my family absolutely loved it. The bus was very well done, clean, and had all the modern amenities you could need. The campground itself was well maintained an the bathrooms and showers on sight were extremely clean. The manager and the house keeper were very helpful and kind. Dancing Fire is in a perfect location, it is just short drives to, parks, beaches, shops, and many local unique restaurants. I saw the plans for future development of the campground and it looks awesome. I would definitely make your reservation now before it’s popular and hard to get a spot.
My cousin and I were looking for a last minute campground. I called and the host found us a spot. What a stroke of luck. The campground is centrally located, clean bathrooms and shower rooms, dog friendly, and BIG! Lots of area to walk the dog. It seems to attract friendly people. The rate is good and we stayed 3 days. Our host Lisa was friendly, helpful, and was so happy all the time. Her joy rubbed off on us, and we had such a great time. I will return, loved it. Please keep your rates reasonable.
Friendly welcoming staff and the RV sites are clean and well kept. Nice bathrooms and a nice club house where you can hang and do your laundry. We liked that it was close to a Cracker & Barrel so easy dinner!
