Came in a few time last year and loved it so much we decided to get a seasonal this year! Will be back again next year. Great park, great management and everyone feels like family! There are walking trails to the White River for fishing or even swimming. My kids love this park!
We only dumped our tanks. The dump station was easy with our 36.5 5th wheel. The roads were easy to navigate and turns were easy. Cost to dump is $20.
Old guy on mower has no respect for people, cars, tents, campers. Throwing sticks, stones at them. Drives right next to you and your site while you're relaxing. He is going to cause a lawsuit and injury. This place has changed for the worse under new management. They are loosing customers, avoid and find a better place to relax!!!!!
This park has no 24 hour ranger and everyone knows it. Kids riding Atvs in the park all times of the day. Along with running rampaged day and night. If you want a clean shower u either clean it your self or wait and see if the ranger showes up and get one after she cleans. Park has gone down hill though out the years. Which is really sad.
Pros: Our lot was HUGE and felt quite private since we could be well off the road. Nice trees for shade and hammocks. Fire ring is a loose ring you can place wherever works best for your setup. Campground and bathrooms are clean. Yard games and equipment available for use. Nice playground. Beautiful park area.
Cons: SO many spongy moth caterpillars (previously known as gypsy moth) - plague level infestation. Their poo was literally raining down on everything and everyone so much you could listen to it like rain. We had to remove several of these rash-causing caterpillars from our trailer and rug. Our awning is absolutely ruined, stained so badly that multiple rounds of scrubbing with special cleaners aren’t enough to salvage it. Road is dirt and there’s no path from road to bathhouse, so you are constantly tracking dirt and caterpillar poo. Many lots don’t have water, but there are NO common water spigots except for the large tank-filling potable water unit for RVs at the entrance. Fortunately there was an empty site that had water nearby, so we could use that. Campers across the way had three large banners sporting the F-word and staff did nothing about it even though they perused the loop and inspected sites. Loud ORVs are driven around the loop by unsupervised kids all day/evening. Staff disappears around 7 pm - if you have an issue, you’re on your own, I guess. Hiking trails poorly maintained. Bathhouse is not central, so you may have a long walk - ours was 1/3 mile one way. Massive 6-sheriff/police unit arrest with canine unit in the intersection across the fence from our site (alongside campground, not within).
