From Highway 13, travel about a mile east on SE 450 Road and follow signs into the park.
I really liked the place, Not the MGMT Janitors, but they have a new one now. I went to let my Service 🐕🦺 Dog Run & Play after spending a horrible last summer stuck in a tent. So we know it very well, the Beach is still closed or condemned, yet it remains and theirs No Public Beach, At All in Clinton or Henry County ! Let that sink in a moment ... Truman Lake is enormous in Clinton, for Shame of it's City Council and Mayor !!!
Love this campground. Always clean and tenants are friendly.... plus showers!
Actually had a great time. For an avid state park camper this was a very pleasant surprise. Very little traffic, lots of open sites, boat could anchor in the cove 300 feet from campsite. Safe and clean, amazing for kids.
Nice, mostly quiet and well-maintained park with lots of shade. Loop A has 50 amps and water on sites that have recently been graveled and leveled.
The volunteer couple are friendly and helpful, the restrooms are adequate and kept clean. Loop B, opposite the restrooms, has 30 amp hookups but no water on the sites.
This campground is only about 15 minutes from Clinton, MO, where there is a reasonably good selection of stores of which we visited Westlake Ace hardware store, Powell Meat Market, Aldi and Price Cutter grocery stores, and Zollicker Gas Diesel Propane, where we found friendly, helpful people. All-in-all, a very pleasant stay.
