Rating: ★★★★★

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Boiling Springs Campgrounds in Dixon, MO for a week-long getaway, and I cannot express enough how delighted I was with my experience. From the moment we arrived until the day of departure, every aspect of my stay surpassed my expectations, leaving me with cherished memories and a longing to return.

Great little campground with sandy sites, power, childrens area, volleyball net, horseshoe pit, and big pavilion. There are all the essentials in the store and have rafts, canoes, and kayaks to rent on the river. You can see the spring across the water from the campground and there's a rope swing to plunge into the fresh water. I caught a few small mouth on the five mile float but only one encroaching on 15". No goggle eye which was more of my target to bring a few fish back for dinner for two. Overall we'll be back with our toddlers next time and get them started enjoying the great outdoors and watersports.

Edit: Went back later in the summer and floated with our two toddlers and they were able to have a great time on the river. Also caught a really nice walleye under one of the bridges you cross under.

We did the 5 mile float with an unorganized group of 7. They were amazing to work with on reservation changes and moved our float back during rain so we were able to go. I would 100% book with them again, we had an amazing time on the float and they had great service.

We loved boiling spring campground! It was our first trip to the gasconade river and we look forward to returning. Granted we went during the week, mon thru Thurs, but there was just almost nobody there and it was great! Riverside camping with electric and water. Pretty big sites. Multiple ramps to get to the water, it's about 15ft down to the river, so we weren't concerned about flooding even though it rained pretty hard. River only came up a bit, not even a foot. Nearby towns if you need something the store doesn't provide. Store has pretty limited hours so I suggest coming prepared, but I understand that considering how few people were on site. They were very flexible with scheduling of a float during the week for us. I will say if it were busy there may not be enough bathrooms, but everybody else had an RV besides us so Maybe that isn't a big factor. Very friendly staff, every one of them. Can't wait to come back.
