Played disc golf here. Course is great but very forehand heavy. I e played here quite a few times and keep coming back. Challenging and fun 😊
The disc golf course sure isn't what it used to be. The park in general just doesn't look like the upkeep hasn't been getting done. I hope that the lack of garbage cans and benches and or tables throughout the park is just a seasonal thing but I remember that being an issue in the middle of the summer as well. I have heard they might alter the course, that would be a shame. I would be more optimistic about that if the course was taken care of as is. Update 12/26/2023. Still needs fallen tree removal and general course clean up. Picnic tables, benches garbage cans...
Wonderful private park. I believe a day pass is only $5, for one of the better disc golf courses, lakes, and public BBQ areas around the Kalamazoo greater area. Absolutely one of the better places to spend an entire day outside.
My review is for the disc golf course. The fairways wind through the wooded hills. The lengths are from 200’ to around 350’ long. The fairways are reasonably wide and grass cut short. but most have many trees to play around. There are few or no straight, clear shots. The baskets are quite old and difficult to see from a distance- could use an upgrade. T pads are concrete, and the course (which begins by gravel parking lot), is generally pretty clear to follow by following the paths. Some signs pointing to next fairway would be helpful in some areas. It costs $5 a car per day to enter this public park. Holes 1 to 18 begin and end at the parking lot, there are 6 more holes that can be played, Over a challenging and fun experience.
This is a county park, and it's a place for many warm weather activities. The lake looks very clean and it's pretty! I will come back when the summer weather returns. Very nicely done and taken care of.
