Love this park & it's never busy. Beautiful "get-away-from-chaos" spot for me & my pup. The kids enjoy the park too, but the playground equipment gets burning hot on sunny days so we go elsewhere when they're with me. Hopefully they'll upgrade the play area & I can take the kids to Brookside Park more often.
Old-style, peaceful, pretty little park with some trails and areas to sit. There’s a little creek that flows through as well. Cute place to go and eat lunch or play with your kids for a little bit. Definitely not a top-notch place, but it isn’t a bad park!
Very appropriately named park as a brook runs along the northern perimeter and had very clean, shallow water, and sandy bottom when we visited.
As another poster mentioned, the playground is "old school" insofar as it has stainless steel slides and gaps between different levels which smaller children may be able to fall through if not careful. But that being said, the equipment was very clean; some chipped paint but no rust or sharp edges.
Gazebo picnic table area was well landscaped with fresh flower bed. Pet post had stocked poop bags and empty trash for dog owners to be welcome if responsible. Thanks!
