Loved it, weather not so much. We did not get a chance to use pool. Owners and employees were wonderful. Having a cafe with lunch turkey sandwiches and dinners, plus deserts and sides was great. On Tuesdays smoked turkey sandwiches and salads $3.99. Our favorite spot was the ice cream parlor where you could find many flavors like orange pineapple and cherry cheesecake. Milkshakes and cones did Here you will find fudge, fresh popped popcorn, fudge, and various flavored corn. A small store and gift shop was great. We were glad we rented a golf cart for week. They had a book loan box and I read three books due to rain. They have propane exchange, which was only $2 higher than town. It is close to many things to see and do. Remember Mondays; many stores in Marshal open at 11 or are closed. Shop owners very friendly. Our only negative was the slab wood offered. Price would be reasonable but wood burnt up very quickly so needed 3-5 bundles for a couple hours. They have garbage pickup. A petting zoo.
LOVE Turkeyville. This has been a long family tradition for YEARS. It was our first trip back in over 12 years and our daughters first visit ever. We were beyond excited to see that the restaurant had NOT changed at al the scents, the sounds, the decor... all the same. The only difference is they have a camp ground now...which looked amazing!!!
The food is amazing and the grounds she beautiful. Thank you for keeping this gem perfect!
Checked it out it has 127 spots for campers. They have two pools one wading and the other swimming. They also have nice showers and restrooms. They have horse shoes pit, basketball courts, volleyball nets, beanbag toss, animal pen, and a fishing pond (catch and release) the spots in the camp ground are very clean. All of the sites have a cement slab so you don't need a rug. All of the sites have a picnic table. They have a lot of pull throughs.the place is very nice and I'm planning on vacation there yet this year and maybe next year. The Turkeyville restaurant is out front. The drive for the campgrounds is a dirt road on the right side of the restaurant. On holidays they usually have something special like flea market, outdoor music by restaurant, miniature train rides next door donation only Michigan railroad club Thay have added probably 75 or more new sites for long term camping also another shower,Landry area.
We have stayed here with family around Mothers day for the last several years. It is a decent rv park but not a resort by any means. The Female that manages this place needs some People Skills. She is a nasty old lady. I was just looking to book a site for this year's trip. The price increase coupled with what they charge visitors is ridiculous. It is not worth it for me. I will find other FRIENDLY places to spend my time. The seasonal campers warned us about her. We learned..
