Woodchip Campground is the perfect place for your family camping in Michigan. Our 122 camping sites are grassy and shaded. Each site has a picnic table and burn barrel. We can accommodate short and long-term guests, including monthly and seasonal camping. Activities for the whole family take place on the weekends, with additional special events on holidays.

The staff goes out of their way to make sure you have a fantastic time. Activities for the kids are well organized and carefully planned. This place is awesome for families with kids. The only con is the bathhouse. The bathroom stalls are extremely narrow and the place to put your clothes for the showers is not convenient. Other than this the place is great!
The people at the Woodchip treated me so well, answering all my newbie questions about using the dump station, visitors, etc. They graciously waives the visitor fees for my mom and sister since they came late in the day. The pool and kids bounce pillow, playground, and bounce house are all well maintained. My kids had a blast! And when I had to cancel my reservation last minute, they were so kind to let me move it to a different day so I wouldn't lose out on the reservation fee! I can't recommend this campground highly enough!
Nice campground! Some of the sites are kind of small and cramped but not the ones we were on with family. They provided lots of activities for the kids and the pool is heated so they keep it open well past labor day when others close theirs. Overall a nice place to camp, especially with kids. We will definitely be coming back!
We will definitely be back, since it’s just 35mins from our Sons College. (We live 2.5hrs away). Michelle and her Mother were very cordial and available. The grounds were well maintained, spacious, offer a wonderful playground for the kids, and nice long and wide spots for our 30ft Class A.
I can't say enough good things about Woodchip Campground! We had the most delightful experience during our stay.
First and foremost, the warmth and hospitality of the family who owns and runs this place are truly exceptional. They go out of their way to make you feel at home, and it's evident that they genuinely care about their guests.
I don’t have children, but this campground is incredibly child-friendly. There are numerous activities tailored to entertain and engage the little ones.
The highlight for me is the heated pool, and the fact that it is open way later in the year than most Michigan pools.
Woodchip stands out as a shining example of a family-owned and operated business. The love and dedication they put into this place are truly commendable.
