We thought this was a great park. Only to find out a year later they marked my group down as noisy with multiple complaints. I explained that it wasn't my group it was the group next to mines. They told us we had to remove our personal popup shower and we did immediately with no problem and they noted they told us numerous times. I thought this place was great and am totally shocked that when booking again I received this info. They were willing to let us rent again but after hearing these lies on my group. I will pass on this site. Because we are African Americans I made sure we didn't break any of the rules and yet I feel like we were a target.

We stayed in one of the two yurts at this campground. It was spacious and comfortable. AC was a plus since it was raining and muggy outside. 4 min walk to the restrooms and showers (all well maintained). Nice pavilions for events. I loved the walking paths and playgrounds. Wish there was some swimming options for the kids. Because of this, I’m not sure if we’ll return to this location but Oakland County has some great locations.

We camped here in our camper May 19-21. This park is amazingly beautiful, peaceful and has so many things to do. We enjoyed our 2.5 mile walk around the paved path, saw deer, cooked our meals on our outdoor griddle, got to enjoy nature for a couple of days and enjoyed it so much we booked two more weekends! One can kayak, bicycle or walk and even bring you dog with you to enjoy the Campground. It isn't too far away from downtown Rochester, MI if one wants to venture out for an evening. It was also nice to see a consistent police presence driving through the park while we were there. Highly recommend this Campground.

Great park for a day trip or camping. Took the kayaks out on the lake for the day and caught four bass between two of us. Nice fishing dock if you’re not able to get out on the water. The park also has a 2.5 mile paved trail for running, walking or biking. Beautiful place to spend a day or weekend.

What a gem of a park. Sites are big with 2 designated parking spots for each site. There are trees scattered through sites but plenty of open area for solar and starlink. Lots of trails a really nice paved trail for younger kids. Lake for fishing they have boat and bike rentals available. The roads are gravel giving the feel that your out in the country camping. Plenty of activities for the kids 2 different playgrounds. Very quiet and enjoyable for just couples. The drive in takes maybe 10 minutes but there is a gas station and small grocery store that sells liquor 2.5 miles away. Lots of deer and other wildlife to view. There are paved sites and gravel sites available.
