Awesome environment with great employees and owners who can be very sympathetic to personal situations. Site has laundry and showers, sewage dump station, awesome game room, wifi throughout the park, and just a generally friendly and fun campground. Sidenote, there's also great fishing!!
We have always enjoyed our stays at Cottonwood. The owners and staff are wonderful. They go the extra mile for campers. They work hard to be sure you have a site you like. The location is beautiful also with shady sites. They keep it very clean. The runoff when it rains is a problem with some lake sites, but we just put boards to step on when that happens. We like the reception we get for our TVs and computers. We enjoy the ball games and fireworks too. It’s a lovely place to walk and has rustic camping. We get sites that have water and electric. We have never had a problem with either and they have a sign up sheet for gray and black water removal at a reasonable price. Their store has necessary items at a decent price. It’s a nice place to stay the night or for the summer. It’s conveniently located in Lansing. We like it and have stayed often.
I’m currently residing, pulled in 8/18/23.
The staff is impressively courteous and accommodating. Always ready to help you. The bathrooms are clean well maintained. It’s 20minutes from my work but outside the hustle and bustle of lansing. The owner is very kind and respectful. He is also quick to act on complaints from what I have seen. Friendly area. I haven’t had any issues with anyone cutting through my site or loud noises at night. Rambunctious kids are usually near the office and pool/playground area but quiet when passing campers. This is a great and safe campground all around. Would highly recommend.
I haven't been here in over a decade but it will always be full of good memories for me so a 5star regardless. I used to go with my ex and his kids every year. We would swim and fish and enjoy campfires.
We only ever camped in tents and the same people would meet up there every year.
It always felt like being away even though we were in town.
There were a few times we were kept up late by yelling drunk people and one early morning around 7am I ran into a naked guy peeing outside. Lol but you can expect things like that at a public place.
They also had the old fashioned slush puppies! So nostalgic! I definitely want to trip back to town one weekend for old times sake.
